A woman's died after a crash on the A11 at Wymondham yesterday afternoon.

It happened shortly after 3.50pm on the Norwich-bound carriageway just before the turning for the B1135 at Wymondham.

A silver Fiat Fiorino van was involved in a collision with red and black Case Quadtrack tractor which was towing ploughing equipment.

Both vehicles were travelling towards Norwich.

Emergency services attended the scene but sadly the driver of the van, a woman in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The road was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out and re-opened at about 8.45pm. 

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning the driving manner of either vehicle prior to the collision.
